The Angolan gaming regulator has launched a licensing window under the country’s newly enacted gaming legislation. The registration period began on 1 July and will remain open for 30 working days.
Market Entry and Compliance Procedures
Operators currently holding active licenses or those whose permits recently expired must use this timeframe to maintain legal compliance. The window serves as the exclusive pathway for existing businesses to regularize their status under the updated regulatory framework.
Companies planning to enter the Angolan market will face a separate public tender process scheduled for a later date. Successful bidders will require several months to establish operational structures, making the current period essential for preliminary preparation.
The licensing timeline was announced by MGL, a firm specializing in African market entry strategies. The regulator’s new law replaces previous authorization procedures with a centralized registration and tender system.
